The Bakers Wife

The Bakers Wife by Erin Healy is a great story about one righteous man who thought it his job to punish the evil he saw all while twisting the words of God to justify his reasons for doing it. His wife didn't believe in God like he did, so he punished her. He talked down to his daughter all her life, instead of simply talking to her, and as a result, when she got pregnant at a young age, she had no one to turn to and so she had an abortion, claiming that the pastor of the church paid for it. Her dad had no choice but to punish the pastor by getting him fired from the church. As if that wasn' t enough, when his wife suddenly goes missing, he blames it on the pastor and his family, concocting his own story.Eventually it ends with him holding the entire pastors family and innocent bystanders by gunpoint in an attempt to get answers all while quoting bible scripture that he believes justify his behavior. The only thing more amazing than how this “man of God” can twist scripture is how calm Audrey and Geoff Bofinger are throughout the whole ordeal...There is no doubt that God was in deed with them! A great story, could not put it down!
