BitterSweet Surrender

Bittersweet Surrender by Diann Hunt is a captivating story about Carly Westbrook, a woman who has been through so many hardships in her life and survived. First she found out she had cancer and had to have a mastectomy, then while she was fighting cancer, her husband left her and then her best friend and business partner died in a car accident. Carly finally seems to be catching a break, she's cancer free, shes trying to get healthy and her high school crush of all time is moving back to town and has been writing her..... Things are looking up... or are they? The story truly is bittersweet to the end.

The only downside to this story was that some of the chapter were hard to follow as they skipped around from place to place and didn't seem to end before skipping to the next place in the story. I really had to force myself to stick with this book as it really didn't keep my attention in the beginning with all the skipping around. However, once I got halfway through, I was hooked. A little late to hook a reader in my opinion. I really felt this book could have been better.
